Summary
This project was a big expansion to the Salem/Keizer School District CTEC program and is now a one of kind cutting program nationally. The aviation program was previously in a small space at the CTE building on Portland rd. SKSD purchased a building adjacent to the Salem airport with plans to move the aviation program to their own facility. The space was remodeled to accommodate larger cutting edge teaching spaces and added flight simulators including a flight
simulator that has a cockpit and has full motion capabilities.
Andy Medcalf Construction Co. recently completed the remodel of our newly acquired airport hangar
building for our Career Technical Educational Aviation program. Working under strict time constraints,
they performed admirably. The work of their employees and the subcontractors they managed was high
quality and timely. AMCC communicated well with the district both in the weekly OAC meetings and
during site visits. They were thorough on close out documentation and billing.
