Summary
Work at Nellie Muir Elementary School includes building expansion, renovation and site improvements. Building expansion includes a two-story, eleven-classroom addition with new gymnasium and new covered play area, kitchen equipment/renovation and new administrative addition including a secure entry vestibule with ADA actuator and security hardware.
Interior renovations to the existing school include demolition of existing computer lab to become part of adjoining media center, project room, workroom and remodeling 5 existing classrooms with the addition of a new toilet room.
Exterior improvements include demolition of existing parking area, new visitor parking and drop-o lanes o W. Hayes Street, new bus loop and emergency access extension of existing delivery drive, hard and soft play areas and as indicated on Civil and Landscape drawings.
Also awarded in this project is Alternate 1 and Alternate 2 which consists of an additional 2 story 8 classroom space.
